Mr. Moberly has over 25 years of professional experience in the environmental industry. His experience runs the gamut from hands-on labor to the successful restructuring of one of the largest by-product management companies in North America.
Mr. Moberly’s professional education began in Detroit as the waste characterization and disposal buyer for one of the largest industrial servicing and hazardous waste transporters in the United States. He then successfully parlayed his industrial sector experience and deep understanding of the waste and commodities markets into managing some of the largest industrial facility decommissioning and demolition projects in the U.S.
Prior to forming COGENT, Mr. Moberly served as Vice President of Operations for a $100M by-product management company. He has implemented and managed multi-million-dollar waste management and industrial recycling programs nationwide.
He carries with him a wealth of real experience and working relationships with key people in all aspects of sustainability throughout North America.
Mr. Moberly grew up in the small northern Michigan community of Cheboygan and attended Michigan State University where he earned a B.S. in Resource Development.
Mr. Helvey has over 30 years of experience in the environmental industry. His experience includes five years as the laboratory manager of an RCRA Part B TSD in the Detroit area, and the remaining 25 years as a project/operations manager for a number of large environmental companies overseeing projects throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
He is experienced in hazardous waste transportation and disposal, recycle programs, RCRA/DOT/OSHA regulations and compliance, industrial services, ISO 14001 auditing and implementation, remediation, and industrial waste-water treatment.
Mr. Helvey has been a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) Masters Level and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor for 17 years. He obtained his B.S. in Biology from Eastern Michigan University
